Overview

What is the Location Concept?
A LocationLocation is a street address that a Site VisitorVisitor may have to travel to in order to accomplish ChapterChapter business (officiating a Match, attending a meeting, etc.)
Why use the Concept?
Permits the Chapter to identify addresses that a RefereeReferee or Site Visitor may have to locate and travel to
How is the concept implemented?
The Chapter defines and manages the individual Locations via Administrator: Manage-Locations, which includes the data entry of the street address, city, and other Location-related information

Comments

A Location IS NOT A FIELD! A Location may contain one or more Fields, but the Street Address is uniquely associated with the LocationLocation, not with a FieldField. You will ALSO define each Field at the Location, so it is important that the difference between a Location and a Field is clear. For example, when you assign a MatchMatch to a playing surface, you assign a Field. When you look up directions to the Field, you are actually receiving directions to the Location that contains the Field.

See Locations for a demonstration.
